A local radio station down the road. Q107 FYI....& FYI sucks bigtime in my estimation, has had some kinda "What 3 records would you take with you on a desert island" thing goin' down this week-end.
Asking the average Joe he'd probably say the obvious......Zep Two,The Wall,& Back In Black
Asking myself would be alot more difficult, obviously there would be more than the 3.After some thought over this last 2 day's I have decided on 3 I suppose....
Here they are in no apparent order>>>>>FOGHAT-NIGHTSHIFT 1976
An outstanding record but really a departure from what Foghat's roots were...."Boogie Blues"The fact that this record was more heavier than the previous release's are what turned me on at the age of 16.This disc was played to death on my parent's console stereo thruout the time of 1976 & in my time,I had become the Official Foghat Booster of my high school....Easy cause nobody had ever heard of them before & the music was an easy turn on.
The climax of that time was seeing the band w/Wet Willie in Niagra Falls, New York in 1978.
To this a remarkable adventure & concert to forever remember..Front row!!Trip's over the Rainbow & Peace Bridge could never go without a visit to Buffalo for some of those famous hottie's...WINGS!!
CHICKEN WING CENTRAL
Stay tuned for the other 2 "Desert Island take along LP's".........

The Band
Here it is 2008 & aspirations of being a rock god are long in the rear view window.Ironically,Rock music from my decade of the 70's is on the rise with the popularity of those vid games like RockStar & Guitar Hero.
Actually really refreshing in a sea of what was gangsta rap & vanilla ice extract, seeing the younger folk adopt what was my music of the past is just fine.
Getting back to playing & singing for me is'nt as ambitious as I'd like it to be.A mix of getting old & being busy with my trade work.
But the chance of playing live will never get stale, although the thought of practicing in a dingy basement does.Like reverting back to romperoom.
My guitar ex axeman MikeyH continues to live in the past & hopes to revise the Last Call project that was put to rest seemingly about 10 years ago.
In the meantime, the guitars sit dormant in an MT apartment not unlike Tiny Tims stool in the corner of a room mere days before the 25th of December 2008....HoHoHo!!
